Licensed psychologist in the states of DELAWARE, Pennsylvania AND New York

Dr. Maria Alonso is a Cuban-born licensed Psychologist in private practice for over 25 years.  She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Her undergraduate years were spent at Swarthmore College and New York University and she completed her doctoral degree at Fordham University in New York City. She has engaged in post-graduate training at The Center for Anorexia and Bulimia and the Minuchin Center for the Family. Maria has served many school communities and most recently served as Psychologist and Dean of Integrated Wellness and Learning at the Westtown School in Pennsylvania. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

In Maria’s free time, she plays the piano, guitar and composes when feeling inspired. She has founded two dual language schools with her sisters over the past two decades and is currently board president of Academia Antonia Alonso Charter School (named after her mother). Maria finds great joy in serving the growing and thriving school communities in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New York.
